@atomicpoet I'm a fan of pop culture archaeology! Everything we see, even that "crappy" show you saw once when you were 12 and stayed up super late, has a huge story to the people involved in its creation. I find it so fascinating to find those stories.

Alright, the overwhelming positive response has convinced me of my summer project: "tty1", a blog chronicling my journey toward using the terminal only for my computing experience.
It'll likely be mostly a series of articles showing my CLI replacements for different apps, with a *possible* finale where I go a week with only the distro I've customized over the course of the articles.
I'm gonna start by coding the site from the terminal; follow me to get updates. :)

@dl2jml @M0YNG @W1CDN Appreciated that your intent is to discuss, but please be aware you've mostly been explaining why something that exists wouldn't work. Looking at your call, I'm presuming you're in Germany; a little digging did turn up the Euopean Marine Mobile net at 14.297 as well as the Transatlantic Net. Perhaps they're less common in Europe or perhaps my searching in English isn't helping.
