part of me leaving 4chan for less toxic pastures was putting behind their hateful rhetoric and striving to do better.

pretty much any position i got from 4chan had to be abandoned for a multitude of reasons, not the least of which was them not fitting in with the ideal of treating others the way i wanted to be treated

i still struggle with old prejudices, but fedi has helped a lot with that


@CyclopsCaveman It's easy, especially when you're young, to get drawn in by the fast and transgressive humor of 4chan. Eventually you realize it's not transgressive for transgression's sake, though, and you either join the ugliness or you go. I'm glad you chose the latter.
